Rosie WeirCenter Director, Ventura County![]() Rosie was introduced to street drugs in 1969 at the age of 15 and from there she became involved with hard street drugs. In 1971 she ended up in a state youth facility for one year. After her release she married and started going to church. Rosie was born again and filled with The Holy Spirit in 1976. Soon after her new birth experience her husband left her with two small children. She had to learn how to trust in the Lord with all her heart and not go back to the life of drug dependence. The Lord was faithful to heal her of a broken heart and blessed her with a good marriage. A favorite scripture is Isaiah 61:1-3. Rosie was asked to share her story at Teen Challenge in mid-1980 and has since then been involved with Teen Challenge for over 25 years. Rosie and her husband Tom have been involved with Global Teen Challenge; traveling to Eastern Europe to help raise awareness of the desperate need for the drug epidemic problems in our world. In 2008 she agreed to take on the Director’s position at Ventura County Teen Challenge Women’s home, which serves the Tri-county area of Ventura, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. |
