The drug addict’s world is full of darkness, pain and hopelessness. More often than not relationships are severed, children are taken away and, bit-by-bit, addicts like Annalea run out of resources.

But there is hope.

Her father was a heroin addict. So were her grandparents. But Annalea never thought she’d follow in their footsteps. Then when she was 12, her father died in an auto accident and everything went sideways.

Weed. Alcohol. Hanging with the wrong people. All of these things led Annalea into a world filled with heartache—and started a 22-year addiction to methamphetamines.

She discovered Teen Challenge and it showed Annalea that through the power of Jesus Christ, she could turn her life around. “The love of God has completely transformed my life,” she said.

She graduated from Teen Challenge and then continued on to Teen Challenge Ministry Institute, where she learned hands-on ministry so she could reach others who are trapped in addiction like she once was.
