Overcoming the obstacles: Our doors are open
When faced with the threat of the coronavirus spreading onto our campuses, our centers had to suspend taking in new students. But addiction doesn’t take a break. With our waiting list rapidly growing, it soon became clear that we needed to do something that would allow us to accept new students.
Thanks to our amazing supporters, we were able to put measures in place that would allow us to open our doors to new students.
On April 27, twelve men and nine women entered our isolation dorms. After, two weeks they were cleared of the coronavirus and then able to enter our main student population. These were the first students brought in since California’s social distancing guidelines were put into place in mid-March.
In that first group, one student invited Christ into his life! In addition, a few others re-dedicated their lives to Christ as well. This was possible because our amazing supporters donated funds to cover expenses. Thank you so much!
Looking forward, please pray with us for each new group of students as they come in. Also, please pray for our other students as together, they learn how to live free from drugs and alcohol.
